TWO MONTHS...

that's right...Brody is already two months old! We have seriously had the best two months with our little guy. Brody has us wrapped around his finger and hello it's not hard to see why. He is definitely our pride and joy. We love his sweet and loving personality and he is so much fun! We feel so blessed to be his parents! 

At two months Brody...

* is one great eater.

* is the best sleeper... that's right-he's been sleeping through the night for the past 3 weeks, he usually wakes up around 7 or 8am, eats and then goes right back to sleep for 3 to 4 more hours. And he takes great naps during the day. It's pretty amazing! 

* loves all things soft and furry, especially nuzzled around his face.

* loves to COO! He's such a talker - it's the sweetest thing. 

* loves going for walks in his baby bjorn.

* loves to splish splash during his baths - he loves the water.

* loves to smile ALL the time...it's so contagious. 

* likes chill'in in his bouncy seat and loves to play with the animals that hang in front of him.

* is still so not in love with his car seat

* likes playing on his jungle play mat

* likes being read to

* likes listening to Disney music

* still loves being blow dried after his bath

* loves to cuddle

* loves hanging out with mom and dad

*he's the best!

Brody's 2 Month Check-Up...

Brody had his 2 month check-up yesterday. He is doing great -  he's totally healthy and strong! He is getting so big and is seriously the cutest baby ever!! Tyson and I had a hard time at the end of the appointment when it was time for Brody to get his shots. He had to get 4! Poor thing! Brody was so brave and didn't even cry. Um, pretty sure I can't say the same about Tyson and I. We both totally teared up after the nurse left the room. It was just so sad. I kept my eyes closed while the shots were given, Tyson was the champ by holding Brody's hand and giving him his bear to snuggle with. He's such a good boy! Good thing he doesn't have to get shots again till October. 

Brody's 2 Month Check-up Stats:

Weight: 14 pounds 9 ounces 

(97 percentile)

Height: 24 1/2 inches (95 percentile)

Tyson is in his 4th quarter of graduate school! Time is flying by! We can't believe that we've almost been living in Ohio for a year. School has been going great for Tyson. Summer has been so much fun! Over the past year we've been super spoiled to have Tyson around all the time. It's the best thing ever and it's no different now, Tyson's schedule has been so laid back for the summer. He went from being a graduate TA to being a "lecturer" and is the sole professor for Stats 145. That's pretty awesome and he really enjoys it. So he's been teaching one class MWF and has been taking a ' Q-1 study prep course' that meets once a week. Q-1 is a test he will take at the beginning of Fall Quarter. He's loving it all. And We Love Him for all his hard work and dedication towards something he is so passionate about. This truly is a great time in life. 

Do you need a pen? Because pretty sure Tyson could spare one, maybe. 

Fact: if you can't guess... Tyson loves PENS. and its pens only - he never uses a pencil. who doesn't use a pencil when working on a stats problem? seriously, it must be so nice to be so smart that you don't ever need to use a pencil when working on stats problems. Tyson=Amazing!

Last week my Amazing friend Kally and her adorable little boy Brody came down from Kentucky to grace us with there presence.  It was so much fun to have them here. Kally and her Brody got to meet our Brody for the first time. Pretty sure these two little ones will be best buds! Without a doubt our Brody's are the cutest guys ever! I am so happy that Kally is only a couple hours away! Thanks for coming to visit and play! Many more play dates and many more memories to come!

Park of Roses...

One cool thing about living in Columbus, Ohio are the parks. They are amazing and there are so many of them. Last Friday evening we decided to take a walk around the Columbus Park of Roses. It was beautiful! It totally reminded us of all our visits to the Portland Rose Gardens. Park of Roses was amazing, but there is a soft spot in my heart for 'Portland Oregon Rose Gardens' . Walking through Park of Roses made me miss home.  Nonetheless, we had a wonderful evening of walking through the  park checking out the roses and of course smelling them - awe they smelled so good!

{6 weeks}

4th of July weekend...

For the 4th of July weekend our fabulous friends the 'Miyasaki's' came from St. Louis to hangout with us. We had a wonderful time with them. We had a great time hanging out, eating good food, playing  games and chatting it up. Poor Brody didn't feel good all weekend - after his visit from the doctors, the shot he got made him not feel very good. Poor kiddo. But our friends were totally patient with us. Thanks Val and David for coming! We especially can't wait for baby Miyasaki to come...soon we can be a party of 6! 

Tyson's Birthday is also on the 4th of July...

Bath Time... And a Check-up...

Brody LOVES his baths! But one thing he HATES is being cold. We always snuggle him instantly in his bath towel right after we take him out of the bath- but when it comes to putting on lotion, his diaper and pjs, he's not always super happy. But then again, naked and cold on your changing table - you wouldn't be happy either. Well problem solved! I thought it might be a good idea to try out the blow dryer and well... take a look for yourself...

Weight - 12.5 Pounds  *97% percentile

Height - 22 3/4 *90% percentile

In about 3.5 weeks he gained 3.5 pounds and grew an inch and a half!
