what we've done this summer PART THREE...

say what?? finally! the last installment of what we've done this summer.
here are some mentionables i wanted post in no particular order...

fire 1
we took a trip to the 'fire house' museum downtown with our friends cassie and archer. the boys LOVED it!

fire 2
brody and archer...pretty sure i heard the boys having a little conversation that went something like...'only you can prevent forest fires'...or maybe i just made that up.

fair 1
we went to the OHIO State Fair in 105 degree weather and 100% humidity. it was awesome! we thought it was only fair (ha, fair, no pun intended) that brody got to ride a ride. so we asked the person in charge of the carousel if tyson would need a ticket as well as brody to ride the carousel. the guy was super rad and let brody and tyson ride for FREE. sweeeeet. brody loved it.

fair 2
seriously, it was so hot that no fried fair food even sounded good. so no, fried twinkies or oreos, or bacon dipped in chocolate, or deep fried turkey legs, of chocolate dipped cheesecake, or mondo huge chili cheese fries, etc... so we just walked around soaking in the awesome people viewing, honestly, the fair brings everyone out of the wood works, gotta love a mullet. essh! anywhos, we totally hit up all the animals and brody thought the HUGE cows were fun. i LOVE his reaction in this picture. so funny!

fair 3
petting the cow, with one finger. :)

eating icecream
one afternoon brody and tyson sat on the floor sharing some ice cream together. i thought it was cute, so of course i had to take a picture. MEMORIES people...MEMORIES!

farm days
we took many trips to cosi over the summer and on one particular day, they were having "farm days". so outside the museum they had tons of huge tractors and farming equipment for kids to play on. brody was in heaven and loved all the tractors. this picture is of him standing in one of the huge tractor tires.

cosi
another time at cosi...have i mentioned how in love i am with this little boy!

cheesecake
one evening after playing in the fountains over at Easton, we got brody all changed and walked over to the Cheecake factory for some dinner and of course some cheesecake, which if you can't tell brody throughly enjoyed. well mostly the whip cream part, but nonetheless it was yummy yummy!

playing on campus
playing on campus...i've mentioned this before, but brody really loves walking all around campus and playing by tyson's building. his buidling is located right over by the stadium and RPAC(fitness center), so there are tons of places to run around. it's really is a lot of fun.

master and commander
not gonna lie, the brody bear totally loves pop. we don't really drink it that often, so i think if we do drink it and he gets a taste, he like thinks it's super special or something. anywhos, so on this particular evening we had eaten at subway and we got a drink, a BIG drink because we knew brody was going to inhale half the drink himself. yes we are awesome parents. go ahead roll your eyes and tisk at us. anywhos, the whole point is, once brody gets a hold of the cup, he seriously becomes like 'master and commander' of the drink. it's like we have to ask him for a drink (not really) but i am sure he would appreciate if we asked him first if it were alright if he had a taste of "his" drink. oh brody!

st. louis 3
we took a super quick weekend trip to St. Louis to see some of our besties Val, David and Emery before they graduate. we had lots of fun and pretty much do what we all do best. EAT. we also got to hangout with there friends Becca and Ben who we actually like to claim as our friends as well. did you get that? it was a great and far too short of a weekend. here we all are at a super yummy mexican resturant...Ole'!

st. louis 4
Ben and Becca took us to the most AMAZING, i kid you not, AMAZING donut shop in the town Ben grew up in outside of St. Louis. sometimes i lay in bed thinking of the goodness of the yummy morsels. you think i'm joking, don't you? nope pretty true on this one. AMAZING. thanks Ben and Becca!! Brody loved it too.

st. louis 5
should we have a momment of silence? shhh. HEAVEN. mmmmmm.

st. louis 6
we also ate some seriously awesome St. Louis BBQ. Here is Brody and Emery hanging out on a pig.

smore
one of the nights we were in St.Louis we had a bonfire and made smores. summer + friends + bonfire + smores = the best things ever. it was so much fun and brody got to eat his very first SMORE and totally enjoyed it!
