{ camping we will go...} ::

so like way back in March we were at Bass Pro Shop and i was checking out the travel counter with trips that Bass Pro Shop offers, I saw this deal where you could go on a 2 night 3 day trip for $99 and when you bought your trip they gave you $50 in Bass Pro shop gift cards. sweeeet! so I bought us a trip to go to the Shenandoah mountains for a little outdoorsy adventure. so we picked a date for a weekend in October to take our trip. We figured it would be fun to experience the fall colors and mountains.

 so fast forward to our trip in October...well all in all it was a pretty good trip. we got to stay in a Yurt, it's like a big fancy tent with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. nice, eh? it was okay. but WAY to buggy for me. LOTS of spiders. nuff said! It was one of those first and last kind of experiences. ha! i think just camping in an actual tent is less buggy!

i guess the bugs were just a bonus...but the resort offered fun things like putt-putt golf, swimming, and a large farm with horses and fishing. so we did all the stuff we could. golfing was so fun and a first for brody and he did awesome! brody got to go on a little horsey ride which he LOVED it and we just loved seeing how happy it made him. so fun! we went swimming, well the boys did. i lounged and watched. and we did LOTS of fishing but caught no fish. but still fishing was the highlight. good times! each night we had a fire and roasted marshmallows. yum!

 But little did i realize that where we were going was a 'time share' place and one of the days was ended up spending hours listening to annoying people trying to get us to buy into there 'time share'. no thank you! so that was a bust! it didn't help that the sells people were really rude. after our experience of getting out of not buying into time share and trying to get over how rude the people were, the icing on the cake was when we went back to our Yurt to get our snacks and food we were going to take home with us, but lucky us, when we to walk in to our Yurt housekeeping was already in our room, before our check-out, and had helped themselves to all our food, and they were having a lovely picnic in our room. whaaa? yeah. classy, eh? it was awkward to say the least. so we just grabbed the few things they hadn't already gotten into and were eating and we left to go check out. we get to the front desk to check out and asking to speak to a manager or someone in charge, but of course no one was there to talk to us, so we just checked out and left. when we got home tyson sent a nice email to corporate and the manager of the resort letting them know of our experience. luckily we got our trip paid for and refunded.

so even though we had some sour experience. it was still fun to be as a family doing things we love and being outside. but would we go back again? um, yeah NO! good times, right? at least we made some memorable memories. i sure love my family and glad with funny experiences and all we can still have a blast!
