{ ohio...ohio...ohio...} ::

the first weekend in november we took the fastest trip of our lives up to Columbus to take brody to a football game. he'd been asking since the beginning of the college football season to go see our Buckeyes. so we got lucky and my friend whitney sold us there tickets...and boom we were on our way. 

we left on friday afternoon much later than planned and got to columbus much later than planned. but we were happy to stay with some of our best friends the kelli, neal and baby frost. we pretty much talked for a few minutes then all went to bed and then pretty much got up in time to head to the game. 

before the game we hit up one of our most favorite things in the entire world (yeah that's pretty huge) but seriously its great. we went to the Skull session before the game. The skull session is watching the Ohio State marching band play the entire half time show, and the football team comes in does a little "lets win" speech and well, its nerdy magicalness for us. but if you could hear the band play live then you too would think it's something great! did you see the half time show when the ohio state university band did this? yeah, amazing! 

 anywhos, after the skull session we walked around a bit, i pretty much mobbed Brutus the buckeye to get a picture with him with brody (sadly the pictures were way blurry). brody pretty much loves Brutus. but tackling brutus for a picture well,that was memorable within itself. 

 tyson and brody went to the game and my friend kelli i went to our friend whitney's house for a little get together and watch football. it was so fun to see friends i miss oh so much. i got brody and tyson a little bit before half time because they were freezzzing! poor boys! so i picked them up real quick and we went back to whitney's to finish watching the game and of course we won. undefeated this season, not a big deal.  

and then...we drove home! we got home around 2am and thank heavens it was daylight savings time...so "technically" it was 1am. not too shabby. but WOW, fast trip, but SO WORTH IT. we'd do it again in a heart beat! we loved every minute of it. and as always we love our buckeyes!
