15.

this cutie had his 15 month check-up on august 26th! i can't believe it's already been 3 months since his one year check up! time seriously flies in warp speed. i wish it wouldn't go so fast!

of course he did great! however this time around he wasn't so keen on the idea of his doctor checking out his ears, but everything else he was good. and he is strong and healthy and continuing to grow and develop the way he's suppose to! shots weren't as fun (um hello they never are!) but our nurse that gives brody his shots, is AMAZING, i kid you not, AMAZING! she warned us that one shot would burn a little going in (yuck!)...so it was nice to know that when brody got the look that someone was stabbing him to death, we knew why. :) but after two quick pokes, one loud yelp and a dirty look to the nurse, brody was good as new. i wish i was as brave as him. i was about to cry! brody's the bomb! bomb.com!

anywhos...

i do love my little 15 month old!

things brody does at 15 months...

Words he can say...
mama and mom
dadadadadada
"uh-oh"
"oh-wow"
eee-eye-eee-eye-ooohhhh
car
kitty
"hi kitty"
hi
baba (bye)
more

he can...
social laugh really well, it's actually hysterical
squeal like a monkey
fake sneeze
will fold his arms for prayers (60%) of the time
wave - hi and goodbye, random waving to strangers, loves waving to people: running, walking there dogs, fellow grocery shoppers, cashiers, squirrels, trees, airplanes, etc...
gives hugs
gives kisses
blowing kisses
plays peek-a-boo
plays chase, he loves it when we chase him...he is so fast trying to get away.
he will pretty much minic anything we do and it's super cute!!
high-five
run really fast
chase dogs fearlessly even if they bark at him
is getting the hang of climbing up on things
still sleeps through the night at least 11-12hrs. (he's done that since being 5 weeks old, and even when he's been sick only "twice" knock on wood he's still slept through the night, seriously we are SO LUCKY!)
has every tooth all the way through BUT two bottom fang teeth, they are just about to cut through. again...he's done so great at teething! i truly do count my blessings and know he's just a little stud muffin!

LOVES...
his mom and dad
cats
his CARS (not the movie)
balls
being outside
sticking his finger up his nose (this is a new thing)
giving cheezy faces
hanging out under the kitchen table
climbing the stairs and coming down the stairs like a big boy (he's amazing)
reading books
drinking soda pop (usually he just wants the cup and straw)
sticks
to cuddle
his furry blankets
nap time
pizza and red licorice
the park
feeding the ducks at the park (he does such a good job of ripping bread apart and throwing it to the ducks, it's super cute.)
running everywhere
Elmo
Taylor Swift (we listen to her in the car)
playing in the dish washer (obviously only when it's clean and empty, duh!)
climbing stairs in dad's building on campus or any stairs on campus
going for walks while we push him in his car

pretty much we have a blast doing all the things we do. and i usually always have our days planned ahead so we always have something fun to do everyday, so that's always nice.

brody really is a super great kid. and before you roll your eyes at me and think everything is pink flowers and cotton candy, DONT get me wrong, he SO SO SO has his cranky days and whines but at least they are far and few between. i do love what one of my friends' said...having a 12-18 month old kid can be a little challenging, because 1. they think they can do anything, so they want to be "independent" SO TRUE 2.they can walk, and think they can go where ever they want without holding your hand SO TRUE again and that goes back to being "independent" 3. they can say words but still can't communicate with you TRUE TRUE TRUE! I love this phase that we are in, seriously 15 months is so fun, but sometimes I wish i could DECODE what he wants! ha! i am sure many can relate! if anyone has a manual on "HOW TO'S with a 12-18 month old" will you please send it to me! :). but still i wouldn't trade any of this for the world...there is never a dull moment! and at least at the end of everyday, i know or at least feel like I'm doing my best.

of course i took pictures of brody at his doctors appointment...they aren't the best i've taken, but to me...cute nonetheless! my dang flash kept going off in the mirror (annoying) and when i turned my flash off they kept going blurry (lame) and to top it off, i didn't edit any of them either. so ya know...bare with! :)
