happy pi(e) day!

mini-cherry-pie-0709-de

yes that's right... Today is March 14th, or 3.14, which marks the annual celebration of Pi Day. If you need a refresher, Pi - is approximately equal to 3.14159265 in the usual decimal notationis, it's the never ending number that defines the relationship between a circle's diameter and its circumference. The symbol continues to puzzle even the pros—in the past hundred years the number has grown from thousands, to millions, to trillions of digits. If you lost me at "circumference", forget the mathematics and celebrate Pi Day with some of your favorite pie! And yes even Statisticians (aka Tyson) uses Pi all the time!! So this is a significant day for us, and so you know at Chateau Crowther we will be celebrating! it may be slightly nerdy, but that's okay, what a sweet way to celebrate!!!

happy pi(e) day!

Aw, MAN!!!! I totally SPACED it! Eric was a Physics major for undergrad and we take this holiday seriously! but not this year. Nope. I dropped the ball. We had baklava on this week's dessert calendar instead of pie. I'm totally fired. :)
